How do you view religion in your own life and how does that influence religion in the worlds you create?

Religion is an intrinsic part of who I am, and therefore an intrinsic part of what I create. But it wasn’t always that way. Like many people, I found my faith after having kids. I wanted to be able to impart tradition, culture, strong values, and objective morality. It was through my kids that I found my way back to God. And it was that process of transformation that opened my eyes to just how hollow and nihilistic science-fiction had become.
